These incentives substantially promoted the growth of tourism in the region, leading to the transformation of the local socioeconomic dynamics and the intensification of urban expansion, especially along the coastal areas. As a result, tourism became one of the municipality's main economic activities. However, the lack of adequate professional training among the local population has hindered their full inclusion in the opportunities generated by this sector. In response to this scenario, this project proposes the implementation of a Hotel-School in São Miguel do Gostoso, aiming to combine professional training with environmental appreciation by leveraging the region’s climatic and landscape potential. To this end, the following objectives were established: to discuss concepts related to sun-and-sea tourism and its influence on the socioeconomic development of São Miguel do Gostoso; to understand the relationship between educational and hospitality uses within a single building; and to apply passive design strategies for thermal comfort adapted to the coastal climate of the Potiguar region. As a result, the project presents the architectural proposal of a Hotel-School composed of four blocks—two of which have two floors—totaling a built area of 5,139.92 m². The project is located on a plot with access from Avenida dos Arrecifes and Avenida Enseada das Baleias, adjacent to the municipality's seafront.
