Simulação numérica da convecção natural em tubos horizontais; com e sem aletas, dispostos em uma matriz vertical. 2025. 51 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Mecânica) - Departamento de Engenharia Mecânica, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61789This work investigated heat transfer by natural convection in vertical arrays of horizontal tubes, with and without fins, by means of numerical simulations carried out in ANSYS CFX software, version 2023 R2. The main objective was to evaluate thermal efficiency and optimize geometric arrangements to maximize heat exchange. The study considered variations in the number of tubes, boundary conditions and dimensionless parameters such as the Nusselt (Nu), Rayleigh (Ra) and Grashof (Gr) numbers. The results show that the use of fins significantly increases heat transfer, with an increase of up to 3.35 times compared to tubes without fins. It was observed that, beyond a certain point, the increase in the number of tubes does not provide relevant gains, indicating an efficiency limit. In addition, the analysis of the Nu and Ra numbers highlighted the impact of the interaction between the temperature and velocity fields on thermal behavior.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Convecção naturalAletasTaxa de calorSimulação numéricaSimulação numérica da convecção natural em tubos horizontais; com e sem aletas, dispostos em uma matriz verticalNumerical simulation of natural convection in horizontal tubes; with and without fins, arranged in a vertical matrix.bachelorThesis
