The success of these places is expressed, generally, in the form and intensity of its use and qualifying public space is essential for this. Therefore, the present study aims to develop a proposal of urban requalification for the public space where the street fair area in the city of Santa Cruz/RN happens, considering the conditions of walkability, urban landscape and visual connectivity in the context of the religious monument of the image of Santa Rita de Cassia. The main justification to develop it is to contribute with the users and traders of the area promoting a functional and attractive space and that provides improvements to the urban flow. Another motivation is to subsidize future projects for municipal administration, considering that the context of the street fair is on the schedule of the municipal management. To this purpose, theoretical support was sought for concepts such as public space, urban vitality, urban landscape, visual connectivity, walkability, among others. Online questionnaires and interviews were sources of information about the study area and its reading. For the studies of urban circulation and development of the respective maps of flows and conflict points, it was based on a questionnaire developed in the subject of Planejamento e Projeto Urbano Regional 06. Maps of urban morphology were produced for the analysis of the surroundings and current photographs of the site made possible the analysis of landscape quality and evaluation of the conditions of visual connectivity with the monument.
