Forum theatre, a technique created by Augusto Boal in the Theatre of the Oppressed, seeks to promote critical reflection and social awareness, with active audience participation in building the narrative. The enacted narratives centered on conflictual and oppressive situations related to HIV serodiscordance, and the spectators were invited to intervene, taking on the roles of the characters to explore different solutions and outcomes. The performances addressed conflicts and oppressions linked to serodiscordance, with the audience intervening to explore solutions.
