RN/UF/BSDEART CDU 793.3:37https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/65002From the perspective that Dance is a way of existing in which each person has their own unique way of expressing themselves, this study aims to identify the trajectories of women 40+: Ana Claudia Viana, Maésia Mendes and Joselma Soar, artists in the cultural scene of contemporary Dance in Natal/RN. To this end, epistemologically, we address Crenshaw's (1989) concept of intersectionality to reveal social markers such as gender, race, sexual orientation and class that imply social organization based on age. From this perspective, we seek the experience reports of these three artists of Contemporary Dance from Natal/RN and the paths they traced in their careers to remain in the cultural scene after the age of 40. We arrived at the considerations that these women 40+ became independent artists; they remained in a group that accepted them and one of them sought a new profession.
