Avaliação da saúde autorreferida e dispneia em sobreviventes da Covid-19 após alta hospitalar no Rio Grande do Norte. 2022. 52f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia), Departamento de Fisioterapia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/50530Introduction: COVID-19 is a disease caused by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), initially detected in China, infecting more than 215 million people, leading to the decree of a pandemic state by the World Health Organization (WHO). Those infected may present manifestations of mild to severe symptoms and some survivors may persist with dyspnea, as well as other symptoms after hospital discharge, which may impact their health and performance of ADLs. Objective: To analyze self-reported health and dyspnea measured by the MRC and LCADL scales in COVID-19 survivors after hospital discharge in Rio Grande do Norte. Methodology: Observational, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The evaluation of the participants was carried out remotely, through the Teleconsulta/RN platform, in which the Medical Research Council (MRC), modified Borg and London Chest Activity Daily Living (LCADL) scales were applied to classify dyspnea and Self-Reported Health (SRH) for health assessment. For the statistical analysis, the software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0 for Windows was used. Results: The sample consisted of 96 participants. Of the individuals participating in the research, 53.12% classified the SAR as regular, 38.54% quantified a grade 2 dyspnea on the MRC scale. In the modified Borg scale, 35.41% of the participants at the time of the assessment had grade 0 (zero). The mean score obtained in the LCADL questionnaire was 16.90 points (±9.83) and 46.90% of those assessed responded that dyspnea had little effect on performing ADLs. Conclusion: The assessed patients had less severe dyspnea and, consequently, a lesser impact on performing ADLs, with the presence of this symptom not being observed at rest and only during moderate efforts. Furthermore, the presence of dyspnea did not influence the SAR reported by the survivors, suggesting the influence of other aspects on the individual's perception of health.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/COVID-19COVID-19Nível de saúdeHealth statusDispneiaDyspneaAvaliação da saúde autorreferida e dispneia em sobreviventes da Covid-19 após alta hospitalar no Rio Grande do NorteEvaluation of self-reported health and dyspnea in Covid-19 survivors after hospital discharge in Rio Grande do NortebachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL
