The equipment was designed with a focus on modularity, disassemblability, and precise instrumentation, enabling comparative testing between industrial lubricants. The methodology encompassed the complete mechanical design, including load analysis, fatigue life assessment, and in-lab manufacturing of all components using conventional machining processes. Experimental tests demonstrated the device’s ability to simulate real operating conditions, monitoring parameters such as torque, temperature, and wear through integrated sensors. The results confirmed the system’s effectiveness in detecting typical gear failure mechanisms, such as micropitting and abrasive wear, thereby validating the technical proposal.
