An example of an institution in this category is the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (APAE) that has been operating for more than 60 years in the country, focusing on children and adolescents (0 to 18 years) with physical, motor, intellectual or multiple disabilities. In this context, the present final graduation work aims to develop a new headquarters proposal for APAE Natal/RN by means of guidelines of sensory architecture, in order to promote an environment that stimulates the learning of users. The proposal is based on a literature review of the international and Brazilian panorama on inclusive education, and in the analysis of the principles of architectural flexibility.
