In addition to presenting a brief history of the arrival of football in Brazil, this work addresses as its main issue the inclusion of Black players in Brazilian football, focusing on the participation of the Brazilian national team in the FIFA World Cups held between 1950 and 1958. As the object of analysis, newspapers from the city of Rio de Janeiro were used, such as Cruzeiro,O Jornal, Última Hora, Diário Carioca, Correio da Manhã, as well as various other academic works that served as references for the development of this study.pt-BRAttribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Copa do MundoSeleção BrasileiraRacismoFutebolPelé.World CupBrazilian National TeamRacismFootballDo negro invisível ao herói nacional: a trajetória dos jogadores negros na seleção brasileira durante as copas do mundo de 1950 a 1958From invisible black man to national hero: the journey of black players in the brazilian national team during the world cups from 1950 to 1958bachelorThesisCIENCIAS HUMANAS
