Specifically, we seek to: map Foucault's concept of self-care, articulating it with the notion of self-culture, techniques of the self and aesthetics of existence; to investigate the phenomenon of celebrity culture, tracing a historical panorama from the traditional forms of fame to the emergence of internet celebrities to their social and discursive consolidation; analyze Instagram as a digital platform, device and environment for the production of subjectivities, highlighting its technical resources, its algorithmic logics and the power dynamics that permeate the relationship between digital influencers and their followers, and, finally, analyze the techniques of the self used by Lu Ferreira in her posts on Instagram for an aesthetics of existence both in relation to herself and in relation to her followers. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, we dialogued with authors such as Foucault (2010a, 2017), who, in its third phase, ethics, turns to truth and subjectivity as a force capable of transforming subjects through techniques of the self. Abidin (2018, 2023), Karhawi (2020), Simões and França (2020), Turner (2010, 2014) helped us in discussions about the socio-historical conditions that, in response to social and discursive movements, support the emergence of Celebrities, Internet Celebrities, Digital Influencers and Creators, for example. Leaver, Highfield, Abidin (2020), Terra (2021), Poell, Nieborg, van Dijck (2020), Grohmann, 2020 and Foucault (2018) allowed us to build a discussion about Instagram, its tools and ways of use, looking at it, mainly, as a platform and a device. We developed a qualitative research, with a bibliographic modality, subsidizing not only the description and interpretation of contemporary realities, but, mainly, a reflexive and critical potentiality that crosses, transforms and reconstructs them. We used, as a theoreticalmethodological path, Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) with the intention of understanding, through analysis, the discourses of Internet Celebrity Lu Ferreira (@Lutsferreira) in the year 2021, which brought, in the axis of subjectivity and truth, the care of oneself for an exercise of oneself for oneself and of oneself for the other. As a result of the analysis, we consider that Lu Ferreira, from her life as a work of art appreciated and consumed by her followers, reveals a care of the self that promotes a liberation to access herself. From the care of her body, with the returns and writings about herself, she assumes, in her visualities and performances, her fragilities, her sick but resistant body, which allows the government of herself and that of the other.
