Investigating the rise of environmental problems is a way of listing problems that span several years and can compromise human relations on Earth. This paper aims to discuss the insertion of sustainability in the Environmental Protection Area of Jenipabu – APAJ, from the analysis of eight publications in the areas of Geography and Tourism, investigating how this concept is introduced in the operation of this Conservation Unit (CU). For this purpose, as a methodological proposal, eight works on APAJ were selected with three different themes: Land use and occupation; APAJ management; Economic development and tourism.
