It presents the descriptive memorial of the construction of this narrative with the experiments, analyses, selections and plastic solutions found. During the training experience, we experienced the importance of illustrated books in early childhood education. When acquiring this new knowledge, I remembered a remarkable event from my childhood: when I suffered racism, I realized I was black and my mother showed me the beauty of all the colors in the world. That is why we use the problems of these memories as a driving force in the creative process of a graphic piece through a visual narrative, since picture books are one of the first forms of art that they can manipulate. We built an attractive, exciting, sensitive graphic piece, based on research and imagery, and we seek to make children aware of the problems of intolerance. Through a pedagogical action, the mediation of the image book, carried out at the end of this artistic process, we obtained a return above expectations and we believe that we were able to sensitize the children.
