Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Geofísica) - Departamento de Geofísica, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/62342The Northeast region of Brazil stands out as one of the most active seismic areas in the country, characterized by earthquakes of low magnitude and shallow depth. Monitoring in this region is carried out by the LabSis/UFRN, using the Rede Sismografica do Nordeste, as well as temporary aftershock networks in specific seismic zones. One event in particular, which occurred on March 11, 2010, with magnitude 2.7 mR, led to the installation of a monitoring network that identified up to 21 aftershocks, and subsequent studies revealed different fault mechanisms in the region. The work plan for this project aimed at modeling the waveforms for the São Caetano/PE seismic sequence, with the goal of determining fault parameters for those events. The methodology included the selection and pre-processing of seismograms, development of the Green's functions and modeling of the observed seismic waves, using a grid search to minimize errors between synthetic and observed seismograms. A computational code was developed to that purpose, which was tested with noise-free synthetic seismograms, confirming the effectiveness of the methodology, especially in the use of a cross-correlation approach to align the waveforms.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Modelagem da forma de ondaMecanismo focalRegião NordesteWaveform modelingFocal mechanismNortheast regionModelagem de ondas locais: São Caetano/PE - 2010Local wave modeling: São Caetano/PE - 2010bachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOFISICA
