Thus, the COVID 19 pandemic and the restrictive measures to contain the disease's routine directly affected events and, consequently, companies operating in the segment. Therefore, this study analyzes the impact of Covid-19 on the events sector, focusing on the city of Santa Cruz-RN. In this research, the evolution of the events sector was proven, with technology as the main tool in the face of social isolation. The article aims to analyze the COVID 19 pandemic and its effects on event companies in Santa Cruz/RN, in the years 2020 to 2021. The method used to carry out the research was the descriptive approach, case study methodology. Bibliographical and documentary research was carried out through websites, academic articles and works to develop the theoretical framework on thematic events, Event Tourism and the global health crisis following the COVID 19 pandemic. Field research was used to apply a form to collect information and data.
