Regardless of the time, there are several factors that influence not only the characteristics of the garbage produced, but also the way we deal with it. As the awareness that inadequate disposal of waste brought innumerable harms and setbacks in the socioeconomic, environmental and public health areas, the generation and management of solid waste ceased to be a natural and unimportant issue and took over to various sectors of society. Health service waste – RSS is defined by RDC 358 as all waste that comes from activities related to the care of human or animal health (including fieldwork and home care services), laboratories, funeral homes, morgues, among others. Through RDC 306/04, all health facilities are now obliged to prepare their respective Health Service Management Plans, aiming at protecting the environment and the health and safety of the worker and the people around the establishments. The objective of this work was the elaboration of a proposal for a Health Services Waste Management Plan for the Goianinha Municipal Hospital - RN, aiming the identification of the current situation of the establishment and, later, proposing the best practices to be carried out. adopted to correct the nonconformities found. Once implemented by the team, the Health Services Waste Management Plan will bring innumerable benefits to the Municipal Hospital of Goianinha, since, in addition to complying with current legal aspects, it will also provide greater awareness in the team regarding the importance of management correct RSS feeds, will ensure greater security for the employees to carry out their daily activities, will reduce the impacts generated to the environment and will guarantee the surrounding population greater safety.openAccessunidade de saúdeplano de gerenciamentobachelorThesisEngenharia Sanitária
