Proposição de um sistema de telecomunicações para uma mina de superfície com ênfase no Projeto Ferro Potiguar. 2023. 90 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia de Telecomunicações) - Departamento de Engenharia de Comunicações, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/56109Brazil plays a significant role as one of the main mineral producers in the world, has contributed to the generation of jobs and income, as well as stimulated social devel-opment. Rio Grande do Norte stands out as one of the five largest ore-producing states in the country even though it has a small territorial extension. In this context, the company Fomento do Brasil recently presented the Ferro Potiguar Project, which aims to make economic use of magnetic iron ore reserves for export from the Agreste Potiguar mesoregion, with a useful life of 21 years. Having a telecommunications infrastructure is essential for the mining company to be able to perform all stages of the process well and achieve positive economic results. The work developed proposes a telecommunications system, with access through microwave radio stations, to serve the basic areas of telephony, industrial intercommunication (wireless communication in exploration areas) and computer network, which make up the functional structure and administrative management of the mine. This system is made up of two point-to-point links, the first between the radio base station of the service provider company Claro and the point located in the mining unit called Cavalo Branco and the second between the two mineral extraction units of the enterprise. The project also presents the coverage area of the wireless communication system, using the calculation to determine the radius of the point-area system; Finally, the costs of implementing this infrastructure are presented. The project presented provides a capacity of 50 Mbps to support a local computer network. For the first link, the high 6 GHz frequency band was used, a bandwidth of 14 MHz, with antennas with a gain of 33.7 dBi at both ends, which resulted in a throughput rate of 221.13 Mbps and a System Gain Margin of 51.30 dB; The second link used the high 6 GHz frequency band, with a bandwidth of 7 GHz, with 33.7 dBi gain antennas at both ends, which resulted in a throughput rate of 100.49 Mbps and a System Gain Margin of 51.58 dB. The estimated wireless coverage area was 4.101 km and the project calculation report resulted in a final value of R$379,823.53.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Infraestrutura de Telecomunicações.
