Methods: Cross-sectional study, with a sample size of 122 elderly. Data was collected through a questionnaire containing socioeconomic characteristics, clinical profile and anthropometric data. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) version 20.0 and Pearson Chi-Square and Spearman tests were performed. Results: It is emphasized that male (54%) prevailed, being the predominant age group 65-75 years. It was found that most of the elderly had high blood pressure, being observed prevalence of overweight and very high risk for chronic diseases in both male and female. It was observed that BMI was positively associated with AC and CC (p = 0.000). It was also found that body mass index of the interviewed correlated positively with the chronic diseases observed in this study (p = 0.041). Conclusion: This study found a prevalence of overweight among the interviewed and this condition was associated with very high risk for chronic diseases, as well as with the prevalence of these diseases. This implies the need for a nutritional intervention in the low-budget restaurants program, since the above conditions reflect and contribute to a poor quality of life, as well as other associated diseases.embargoedAccessIddosoDoenças crônicasAntropometriaPerfil clínico e antropométrico de idosos usuários de Restaurantes PopularesClinical and anthropometric profile of elderly users of low-budget restaurantsbachelorThesis
