Equilíbrio postural de indivíduos com disfunção vestibular: avaliação posturográfica por realidade virtual não-imersiva. 2022. 51f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia), Departamento de Fisioterapia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/50288Purpose: To analyze postural balance parameters of individuals with vestibular dysfunction in different sensorial conditions submitted to posturographic assessment using non-immersive virtual reality. Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted with individuals aged between 40 and 80 years with complaints of chronic dizziness, body imbalance, and vestibular dysfunction. A questionnaire containing sociodemographic and clinical-functional data was applied, and static posturographic assessment was conducted using the HORUS® system, consisting of seven dynamic tests with different oculomotor stimuli and stable/unstable surfaces. The following parameters were assessed: stability limit (SL), area of the SL (mm²), 95% confidence ellipse (CE, in mm²), anterior-posterior speed (APS, in mm/s), and CE/SL ratio. Descriptive analyzes were performed, and Friedman’s test was applied, followed by Dunn’s post hoc (α = 0.05). Results: The sample comprised 61 individuals aged 59.10 (11.168) years. The median APS of condition C4 was high (i.e., worse postural balance) and increased from conditions C1 to C4; significant differences were found between conditions C1 and C2 (p=0.0062) and C3 and C4 (p<0.0001). The median CE/SL was also high in condition C4 (i.e., worse postural balance) and increased from C1 to C4; significant differences were observed between C2 and C3 (p=0.0029), C3 and C4 (p<0.0001), and C4 and C5 (p=0.0018). Conclusion: Postural balance worsens as sensory conditions are challenging.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/IdosoOlder adultsEquilíbrio posturalPostural balanceReabilitaçãoRehabilitationTonturaDizzinessDoenças vestibularesVestibular diseasesEquilíbrio postural de indivíduos com disfunção vestibular: avaliação posturográfica por realidade virtual não-imersivaPostural balance of individuals with vestibular dysfunction: posturographic assessment by non-immersive virtual realitybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
