The research was carried out based on academic articles from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and highlights the importance of Family participation for academic performance and the construction of values. Using keywords sucs as “family and school education”, works that address the topic were selected, allowing a comprehensive analysis of the subject. The results show that collaboration between the Family and the school is fundamental, especially in diffiicult situations such as COVID-19, in which Family help was very important to adapt to remote teaching. Furthermore, the research also highlights the importance of adjusting school practices and activities to diferente Family realities. Theoretical references such as Freire (1996), which emphasizes the role of education in social transformation, and Cortella (2014), which discusses the need for a harmonious relationship between school and family, support this analysis. Final considerations highlight the importance of expanding this educational collaboration, proposing actions such as events and better communication to engage parentes in the learning process.
