We chose to question teenagers about their concepts of fatherhood. We conducted an analytical exploratory cross-sectional study with 196 adolescents between 10 and 19 years enrolled in public schools in Natal / RN. A structured questionnaire regarding sociodemographic questions and the concept of fatherhood was used. The results revealed that parenting was characterized by the acquisition and assumption of responsibilities of adulthood.
