Based on the need for coherence in the selection of hypotheses, the study proposed estimating the real salary increase rate of the public servants of the municipalities of Encanto and Goianinha, both of Rio Grande do Norte, linked to municipal RPPS and to analyze the actuarial impact that this premise cause. In observing the importance of this premise, the study proposed to analyze the effect of this in two relatively similar municipalities, in order to show that the coherent choice of the rate of wage increase is necessary for every actuarial pension calculation. In order to do so, it firstly analyzed descriptively the two populations studied. It then estimated the salary increase rate of the municipal employees associated with federative entities studied through the Average Wage Growth Practice. Finally, we analyzed the actuarial impact that the rate of wage increase causes in the plans studied. For this, the software Sadeprev was used, which, by means of microsimulations, estimated the actuarially fair rates for the municipality of Encanto / RN and Goianinha / RN. It was observed that when estimating the actuarially fair rates with the real rate of wage increase adhering to each plan studied, there was a divergence in the results. In the municipality of Encanto / RN there was a decrease in the rate, when estimated with the rate of 1.64% of real growth per year.
