Based on this, the research was conducted through a narrative review of the literature with a bibliographic and qualitative character, involving scientific references in the Google Scholar and CAPES Periodical databases. 45 relevant publications were selected from the database by combining the keywords for the presentation of the results in this study, after a selection with inclusive and exclusive criteria. The main results showed, based on the analysis carried out on the selected articles, that the implementation of green finance has a positive influence on environmental sustainability, green financial instruments prove to be effective in promoting sustainable projects and therefore encourage the production of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency. In addition, this research pointed out a positive link between the financial performance of companies and their green financing practices. The publications allowed us to build a solid knowledge base about green finance. The analysis of the results of the researched articles also indicated that the literature on green finance has grown and this shows the importance of sustainable finance in the current global scenario.
