Competências da pessoa bibliotecária na editoração de periódicos científicos no contexto da ciência aberta. Orientadora: Nancy Sánchez-Tarragó. 2023. 84 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Biblioteconomia) - Departamento de Ciência da Informação, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/53589Given the current scenario of inequity in access to scientific information and in science production and communication capacities, the discussion around the democratization of knowledge has already been punctuated, for some years, by scientists, editors, and librarians, giving rise to movements in in favor of open access to scientific information and, more recently, in favor of open science. Open science practices can and should be included in scientific journals, with the aim of enabling free access to research data and results, agility and transparency in the editorial process and cooperation between researchers and citizens in doing science, thus demanding librarians working in scientific journals the constant updating of their professional knowledge to keep up with scientific developments. Based on this, this research aims to analyze how the new open science ecosystem poses new challenges and skills for librarians who work in scientific journals. It is exploratory research, which uses as methods the bibliographic review on the subject, in addition to data collection through face-to-face interviews with seven editors of scientific journals. After the bibliographical review and the qualitative analysis of the data collected, technical, intellectual, conceptual, and cognitive, interpersonal, organizational, key competences, competences of formulation and dissemination of automated informational products and competences of the informational flow were identified, in addition to competences of data management, alternative metrics, research integrity, scholarly publishing, and citizen science. It concludes, showing that open science demands transformations in the professional skills of librarians, since among the main challenges are open peer review, the application of article processing charge (APC), open data, preprints and alternative metrics, noting that continuous learning by editors is always necessary in order to keep up with the transformations resulting from the scientific area.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/competências bibliotecáriaseditoraçãoperiódicos científicosciência abertaCompetências da pessoa bibliotecária na editoração de periódicos científicos no contexto da ciência abertaSkills of the librarian in publishing scientific journals in the context of open sciencebachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS
