Understanding that there is a continuous cycle of mutual influence between the city and its population, this work discusses the structural and social aspects of the urban territory, the commitment to the improvement of public spaces, as well as the role of society in this context, with a view to a design project. Through a case study in a square in the North Zone of Natal, we sought to understand its problems and its current context, giving rise to a Place Branding project guided by the Duplo Diamante methodology. Thus, through a graphic project, it is proposed the use of Design as an element of transformation of the public space, promoting reflection on the use and occupation, in addition to encouraging the involvement of the population in its maintenance, through well-founded collective interventions in tactical urbanism and in the planning of cultural, sports and social actions. At the end, solutions were proposed for implementation and delivery to the population.
