Therefore, the purpose of this study is to add these fibers to the mixture in partial replacement of the clay and at the same time as reinforcement to avoid burning and to make ecological use viable. For the study a clay used by a ceramic located in the city of Parelhas / RN was used and some series of test pieces were molded in which the fibers were added with percentages of 5%, 10% and 15% in relation to the weight of the clay. The fibers were characterized using the thermal analysis method called thermogravimetry (TG), the FRX method was used to verify the elements present in its composition and the XRD method used to determine the crystallographic parameters and the atomic arrangements in the network crystalline form of the clay. The specimens were oven dried at a temperature of approximately 110 ° C to evaluate the behavior of the blends.
