In this sense, aiming to improve the training process in the Municipal Secretary of Education - SME, the main question of this research is:How can the continued in-service training on statistical literacy promote professional development for teachers who teach mathematics in the early years? To this end, it was defined as a general objective the analysis of the continued formation in service concerning the statistical literacy for the professional development who teach Mathematics in the early stages of Elementary School. The research is classified as a qualitative approach, focused on the interpretation and understanding of a certain reality. With an emphasis on the continued formation and professional development of teachers who teach Mathematics in the early stages of elementary school, the research took place at a Municipal School in Natal and contemplated elements of collaborative research. In addition to cognitive development, such classified research also includes interpersonal relationships among school subjects and between them and researchers making individuals advance in their levels of development, through the mediation of others. This Masterwork had as main instruments of data collection the application of diagnostic instruments for the identification of teaching knowledge, the recording of images and audios of all formative meetings and the field diary. The results of the research show that teachers recognize the benefits provided by the training process for their classroom practice, the challenges for their own learning, in the case of this research in Statistics, help in overcoming difficulties, improvements in practice, and reflections on teaching. The analyzed data showed how much the teacher-collaborators have evolved in relation to statistical learning, in regard to pedagogical concepts and practices, as well as demonstrated the desire to continue the collaborative training model developed during the research, involving the other teachers of the School .Therefore, the success in the result was also with regard to the professional development of teachers, including the researcher. In view of the validation, for the collaborators, of all these elements, it was verified the effectiveness and the importance of a continued formation that occurred in the school environment.
