Recently, the study of ferrites for applications in magnetic hyperthermia has been the focus of much attention. This study is challenging, mainly due to the various requirements that should compose the material, such as their magnetic moment per particle and mainly the nanoparticles size. In this work, we have performed the synthesis and the structural, morphological, magnetic and thermal characterizations of ferrites that enable their applications in magnetic hyperthermia. The samples studied are MnxZn0,3Fe2,7-xO4 with x = {0,0; 0,1; 0,2; 0,3; 0,4 and 0,6} and a magnetite sample, where the magnetization in a field of 1,5 T ranged from 17,0 to 78,5 emu/g. The samples with x = 0 and magnetite have specific absorption rate values equal to 126,1 and 156,5 W/g. The crystallite sizes for these samples are 16,8 and 15,1 nm, these result evidence the magnetic single domain character of these samples.
