At other times, law used to be a fi eld of activity exclusively for those in the judicial field. Nowadays, we find a significant number of transdisciplinary studies on the relationship between law and society, particularly in Brazil. This study aims to reflect on the contributions of Social Anthropology in the judicial field, while addressing law as a dimension of knowledge production and field of activity capable of promoting or, on the other hand, violating Human Rights.
