O Design Thinking como ferramenta aplicada ao ensino da metodologia Lean Six Sigma a gestores de hospitais universitários. 2021. 69f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Gestão e Inovação em Saúde) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/33423STATE OF ART: Both internationally and nationally, health is difficult to manage, among the biggest problems faced are the scarcity of financial resources in recent years. In 2019, the health budget lost 13.6 billion. Considering the resources authorized at the beginning of 2020, of almost R$ 5 million below the previous floor, the estimated loss between 2018 and 2020 is R$ 22.5 billion (MORETTI, B.,FUNCIA, F.R.,OCKÉ-REAIS, 2020).PROBLEM: Given the scenario presented, it is evident the importance of research that presents strategies and tools to help the health area improve its performance, and, consequently, reduce costs. The use of Lean Healthcare (LH) and Lean Six Sigma (LSS), in health management, can serve as a strong ally of this proposal. It was from this perspective that the desire to teach the application of LSS and LH emerged in the care area, focusing on improving the performance of Brazilian University Hospitals. Lean principles are aimed at improving the quality of patient care. Its goal is to eliminate waste and ensure greater attention in the provision of care, through the system of continuous improvement. OBJECTIVES: To develop a self-intrusion course in a Virtual Learning Environment (AVA) through the use of Design Thinking and that contemplates the steps for the implementation of best tools and practices of the lean healthcare and lean methodology Six Sigma in Hospitals The course presents the fundamental principles of Six Lean Sigma that underpin modern approaches to continuous improvement in health. METHODOLOGY: Methodological approach used in the construction of the course was Design Thinking, which helped us in the immersion and understanding of essential parameters and standards to create better quality solutions through four stages: immersion (understanding), ideation (creation), prototypical (test) and development (application). From this result, the prototype of the course was developed. The theoretical framework brought subsidies to direct the content to the problems of health care management, widely reported in the scientific production of the area. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The course proposal was developed with a view to taking a new look at managers, focusing on solving some recurrent problems in care. That is, the course did not propose to solve such problems, but to show how Lean principles can contribute to the development of solutions. In order to be an initial and strongly motivational formation, the course content did not show all the tools that could help in the various management routines, and further studies were needed to identify all the possibilities of application of the lean methodology. This study was designed to improve the efficiency and operational efficacy of hospitals, when correctly learned and implemented by managers.Acesso AbertoTecnologia educacionalEducação a distânciaGestão de qualidade totalO Design Thinking como ferramenta aplicada ao ensino da metodologia Lean Six Sigma a gestores de hospitais universitáriosmasterThesis
