In addition to the pharmaceutical assistance actions carried out by the location, pharmacy efficiency also involves cost management combined with the quality of services provided by the location. The objective of this work is to present a descriptive analysis of financial costs in the context of pharmaceutical assistance in sectors served by the pharmacy of a public hospital located in the city of Parnamirim/RN. Data such as the costs of medicines (separated into antimicrobials, psychotropics and others) and hospital supplies were collected in sectors served in the hospital's satellite pharmacy, from March to September 2024, extracted from the hospital management software present in the pharmacy. The information was grouped according to the nature of the data and a descriptive statistical analysis was performed, presenting the results in absolute and relative frequencies. It was observed that the total cost of medicines and hospital materials was R$ 1.402.853,07, with the highest total cost attributed to the surgical center (44,38%), followed by the general Intensive Care Unit (34,27%). The evaluated sectors also had records of exits from the central pharmacy and pharmaceutical supply center. For all sectors, the majority of expenses recorded are allocated to hospital materials (63,8%) in relation to medicines (36,2%). The satellite pharmacy is responsible for around 48,93% (R$ 686.693,62) of total costs, however, 52,8% of these costs are allocated to medicines, especially antibiotics and psychotropic drugs (56,0%). The surgical center accounts for around 88,31% of total costs with psychotropic medications, given the nature of the procedures performed in the sector. From the data analyzed, it was concluded that the implementation of updated information systems that meet local needs can help control costs and organize the Hospital Pharmacy, as long as pharmacists are trained to properly record information, as well as for the interpretation of health indicators.Farmácia hospitalarGestão de custosFarmácia satéliteAssistência farmacêuticaGerenciamento farmacêuticobachelorThesis
