Os benefícios do uso do BIM na redução dos custos de obra decorrentes da não compatibilidade entre projetos de engenharia: revisão sistemática de literatura. 2024. 68 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Civil) , Departamento de Engenharia Civil e Ambiental, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59775Building Information Modeling (BIM) represents a technological revolution in civil construction, providing the integration of design information into a three-dimensional model. This monograph presents a systematic review of the literature, examining the advantages and challenges of implementing 3D BIM compared to the traditional 2D CAD method, focusing on the compatibility of disciplines such as architecture, structural engineering and facilities. The adoption of 3D BIM allows for a more accurate and detailed visualization of projects, which facilitates the early detection of conflicts between different disciplines, significantly reducing the costs associated with rework and design errors. The studies analyzed highlight that the compatibility provided by 3D BIM not only improves the efficiency and accuracy of cost estimates, but also improves communication and collaboration between project teams. The ability to identify and resolve design conflicts before construction begins is one of the key benefits of 3D BIM, which contributes to more effective and cost-effective project management. Furthermore, the initial investment in BIM technology and training is largely offset by long-term benefits, including cost reduction, improvements in project quality and more efficient management of resources. It is concluded that the adoption of 3D BIM is essential for the modernization of civil construction, offering a more integrated and collaborative approach to project development. This technology stands out as an indispensable tool for professionals in the sector, promoting sustainability and efficiency at all stages of the project life cycle. The transition from 2D CAD to 3D BIM is, therefore, a necessary evolution to achieve greater precision, reduce waste and improve project delivery in construction.
