Progressão da perda auditiva de adultos e idosos pós Covid-19: série de casos. 2022. 29f. One of them is damage to the auditory system resulting from viral infections, typically affecting the cochlea. Thus, the objective was to verify the progression of hearing loss in adults and the elderly, after contamination by COVID-19. This is a retrospective, longitudinal series of case reports based on the analysis of medical records from a private audiology service. We analyzed the audiological data of 17 patients, aged 44 to 95 years, users of individual sound amplification devices and monitored at the service. All exams, pre- and post-COVID-19, were analyzed by two independent evaluators who classified hearing loss according to type, degree and configuration. Data were analyzed descriptively (mean and standard deviation) and inferentially (Shapiro-Wilk, Student's t test and Pearson correlation), with a significance level of 5%. The most frequent audiological diagnosis was sensorineural hearing loss, of moderate degree and descending configuration. It was found that the mild symptomatology of COVID-19 was predominant, with the second main complaint being the decrease in listening comprehension. It is concluded that it was possible to observe progression of auditory thresholds, with changes in the degree of hearing loss in five individuals, after contamination by COVID-19.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/AudiçãoHearingPerda AuditivaHearing LossCOVID-19COVID-19AdultoAdultIdosoAgedProgressão da perda auditiva de adultos e idosos pós Covid-19: série de casosProgression of hearing loss in adults and elderly after Covid-19: case seriesbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
