According to IBGE data, more than 506 thousand Brazilians are visually impaired. The main objective of the present study is to evaluate the accessibility conditions of the Câmara Cascudo Museum for the visually impaired. Through specific objectives the intention was to raise the forms of interactivity with objects and works on display that go beyond the sense of vision; Identify difficulties and the hinders to visitation by consumers with visual impairment in these cultural spaces; In addition to proposing alternatives for adaptation and dissemination of the visitation for the visually impaired in the Câmara Cascudo Museum, contributing to the exploration of a potential market for people with this disability. To obtain the results of this research, a questionnaire was applied with museum management, in addition to using the on-site observation method with the help of a checklist built through bibliographic research. According to the results obtained it was possible to observe that the Câmara Cascudo Museum seeks to adapt to the reality of the people in question, but they are still less than expected.
