This study aimed to analyze the impact of this opening on retail consumers, with a focus on the feasibility of transitioning to the hospitality sector, considering the regulatory context and the tariff characteristics of the group under analysis. The simplification of the migration process, following the market opening, facilitated the transition and reduced bureaucracy, making migration to the Free Contracting Environment (ACL) a promising strategy, especially in a variable tariff scenario. However, the transition requires a detailed analysis of each consumer's specific conditions and specialized technical support to ensure effective management in the new environment. The research suggests that other units fitting the retail consumer profile consider this alternative, as the Free Market offers favorable conditions for cost reduction and greater operational efficiency. The flexibility and cost predictability provided by the ACL allow for more accurate energy management, and the savings generated can be directed towards innovation and modernization efforts.
