It manifests in acquired, gestational and congenital forms, and is currently a highly prevalent notifiable disease. Even though it is a disease of simple and low-cost diagnosis and treatment, it is still a challenge to be faced by all health professionals, presenting itself as a public health problem. Objective: To identify the main challenges faced by health professionals in the fight against syphilis in Primary Health Care. Methodology: This is an integrative qualitative review. The collection was carried out from November to December 2021 through virtual access to the databases: Scopus, PubMed Central, Embase and Web Of Science, published between 2016 and 2021. The descriptors were used: Primary health care, Syphilis and Nursing. Results: 7 articles were included, with different methodologies, despite the different approaches and methodologies; in all studies some type of challenge faced by health professionals in the fight against syphilis was demonstrated. Conclusion: This study allowed us to identify that there are many challenges to be faced in primary health care.
