However, it’s known that traditional design methodologies, when proposing linear hypotheses in the perspective problem-solution, do not cover more complex problems, such as those of a socio-political nature, for instance. Such problems, denominated by Rittel and Webber (1973) as wicked problems, have unpredictable content and require specific methods for their treatment, and not solution itself, as it is admitted that they do not have defined solutions. To deal with this kind of problems, it should be feasible to use methods that adapt as they interact with the problems, and collect information. Through the course of the investigation, the interactive research method created by Joseph Alex Maxwell (2009), proved to be a conducive approach to deal with the inherent complexity of wicked problems.
