Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Estatística) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2017.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/34305This work brings the result of an opinion survey with lawyers in the districts of the Judicial Branch of Rio Grande do Norte, regarding state justice, with emphasis on access to justice, trust in the population and slowness, from the perspective of the lawyer. According to the lawyers the procedure to file a lawsuit is easy, but the time for processing a lawsuit is very slow in court. It was found that the value of procedural costs and process time are the main factors that lead the population to give up looking for justice, while the speed of judicial provision and increase of the number of magistrates are factors that can improve the judicial performance. Pearson's Chi-Square (χ²) allowed us to affirm that there is an association between the level of confidence and the procedure to judge demand, besides affirming that there is an association between the procedure to judge the demand and the time of the process, as well as there is an association between the time of the process and the level of trust in justice.
