Currently the university has a system of measurement of electrical quantities, composed of 76 equipment, which meet the various buildings, installed in the electric feeders. One part of the measuring equipment is in operation and another part damaged or not communicated with the Operation and Information Center - OIC, allocated in Facilities Maintenance Directorate - DIMAN. In the present project, efforts will be directed to the evaluation and diagnosis of the existing electric power management system, reallocation and design for unattended buildings and projection of the communication network using a Gigabit Passive Optical Network - GPON. At the end, a detailed design of the communication and measurement network, descriptive memo and spreadsheet with cost forecast for system modernization will be available. With the implementation of the project, the university will have a valuable management tool, which will send the information in real time, to the IOC, which allows control, management and sectorization of electric energy consumption. This sectorization also allows cost sharing, demand analysis and energy quality.
