Faced with this scenario, several agents were engaged in minimizing the impacts that this pandemic would have on school education. Among these agents we highlight, in this article, school managers who had to be at the forefront of the changes that the educational process suddenly required. This article objective is to discuss pedagogical management practices at one of São Gonçalo do Amarante Early Childhood Education Centers, in order to understand the challenges and changes that have occurred in this school's educational process with the advent of the pandemic. To this end, Kaufman's (2013) comprehensive interview method was adopted, in order to understand the singularities of the changes in this Center, making an analysis between the pedagogue's practices as a school coordinator/manager in the pre and post pandemic. Throughout the text, an overview is given of the relationship between democratic management and education, in view of the importance of its mechanisms for achieving quality education.
