Understanding the dynamics of tourism demand is essential for effective planning and management of the sector. In April 2022, the Seridó UNESCO Global Geopark was recognized, covering the entire territory of six municipalities in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, namely: Acari, Carnaúba dos Dantas, Cerro Corá, Currais Novos, Lagoa Nova and Parelhas. The FELCS Tourism Course, through an extension project, proposed to carry out a study of the tourism demand of the municipalities belonging to the Seridó Geopark, in order to provide important information to tourism governance bodies about the profile of tourists visiting the region. In this sense, this study aimed to analyze the efficiency of the methodology and the results of the extension project “Tourism Planning Center: Demand Studies”, carried out in 2023, in the six municipalities that are part of the Seridó Geopark. The research is descriptive in nature, with a quantitative approach to the data.
