This type of patient requires continuous monitoring of health care. In this context, the use of technological devices, such as wearables, emerges as an innovative and promising tool in the hospital environment. Due to their recent introduction, accuracy and reproducibility studies are necessary to ensure their effectiveness and integration into clinical practice. Objective: To report three cases of post-AMI patients admitted to a cardiology ward of a public hospital in the city of Natal/RN. Methods: This is an exploratory study in which functionality parameters and heart rate variability were evaluated in 3 post-AMI patients admitted to the Onofre Lopes University Hospital (HUOL-UFRN), using FitBit inspire HR wearable devices for a period of 5 to 7 days of hospitalization. Results: Of the three patients analyzed, only one presented lower functional scores. None of the participants demonstrated normal autonomic balance (RMSSD, SDNN). In addition, both parasympathetic (HF) and sympathetic (LF) activity were reduced in all patients. Of the three patients, one had a low performance in the handgrip strength test and in the timed up and go test, and two patients had a poor performance in the one-minute sit-to-stand test. Conclusion: Although this is an exploratory study, the use of wearable devices in patients hospitalized after AMI has the potential to monitor parameters that are important for clinical and physiotherapy assessment and monitoring. Because they are easy-to-use and accessible instruments, they can be useful for monitoring their functionality by healthcare professionals.Infarto agudo do miocárdioAcute myocardial infarctionDispositivos vestíveisWearable devicesEnfermariaInfirmaryMonitoramento remotoRemote monitoringFuncionalidadeFunctionalityUso de dispositivos vestíveis durante o internamento de pacientes pós infarto agudo do miocárdio: um relato de casosbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
