We used as a research source one of her intimate diaries, more precisely, number 1. During the analysis, we sought to understand, on the one hand, how Donatilla Dantas created a representation for herself and, on the other hand, to think about two specific issues about the feminine: separation and financial independence. The way she organized her diary indicates that she was concerned with building representations for herself, especially as an independent woman.
