Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Tecnologia em Gestão Hospitalar) - Escola de Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61676Traditional leadership models, based on authoritarian command, have proven to be increasingly less effective, especially in environments with diverse teams, in terms of generations and skills. When observing, during the internship carried out during the Hospital Management course, the incisive way in which the manager spoke with the team, it became evident that this type of communication negatively interferes with work performance and employee satisfaction. Based on this perception, the general objective of this work is to understand whether the adoption of assertive communication by the manager can be an effective tool for teamwork, especially in the context of health management. To this end, the study was carried out through an integrative literature review. Articles were selected that deal with the relationship between assertive communication and teamwork in the context of health management. Although there are few studies that directly integrate these two themes, the review highlighted the potential of this form of communication as an effective tool in team management, especially for resolving conflicts and promoting a more collaborative and productive work environment. Assertive communication, combined with participative leadership, can reduce communication barriers and promote greater understanding between leader and followers, aspects that are fundamental to the organizational health context. Therefore, this study is based on the premise that leadership is not restricted to the function of managing people, but rather, influencing and motivating a team to achieve common goals. Furthermore, it suggests that health managers can benefit from adopting clearer and more respectful communication and using assertiveness as a strategy to strengthen teamwork in order to achieve the desired organizational objectives.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Liderançacomunicaçãoeficácia coletivagestão em saúdecultura organizacionalLeadershipcommunicationcollective effectivenesshealth managementorganizational cultureComunicação assertiva como estratégia para o trabalho em equipe: revisão integrativa no contexto brasileiroAssertive communication as a strategy for teamwork: integrative review in the brazilian contextbachelorThesisCNPQ::OUTROS::ADMINISTRACAO HOSPITALAR
