This is a review of the literature in the framework of the integrative review in studies of Assistive Technologies for the Elderly. The databases consulted were Scielo, Lilacs and Pubmed. Through the search strategies, 1,154 articles were identified in PUBMED, in SCIELO and LILACS an article was found in each. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, there were 12 articles that composed the corpus of this review. The articles analyzed provided information on the type of study, approach, population and data collection instruments. Regarding the collection techniques, focus groups (performed in six of these productions) and data analysis procedures, two adopted the method of comparative analysis, one used content analysis, three cited another type of analysis. Articles that mentioned more than one data collection technique generally made combinations of interview and focus group and interview and observation.
