Geomorfodiversidade da zona costeira de Icapuí, Ceará: definindo geomorfossítios pelos valores científico e estético. 2021. 180f. Dissertação (Mestrado em Geografia - Ceres) - Centro de Ensino Superior do Seridó, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/32871Geodiversity expresses a variety of abiotic elements, which include geological, geomorphological, pedological and hydrological characteristics. This in turn, composes the geopatrimônio, which is fragmented in different categories (geological, geomorphological, paleontological, among others), which can go through geoconservation measures, aiming to stimulate geotourism and the conservation of the abiotic environment. Thus, this work aims to carry out a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the geomorphodiversity of the coastal area of the municipality of Icapuí, Ceará, where the description of the natural history of the existing geoforms in the area was sought, as well as the elaboration of the geomorphological mapping of these features , up to the fourth taxon, on a scale of detail of 1: 10,000. Then, through field research, the inventory steps were carried out, which derived in a database about the analyzed sites, mainly with information related to geomorphology, having as examples, features of dissection, deposition, residuals, morphogenesis, among others , in the same way as quantification, which evaluated geomorphosites by their high scientific and / or aesthetic value, represented by a valuation higher than 75% and geomorphodiversity sites by other types of values (tourism, use and management), with valuation of medium to null, proposal developed in this research. Regarding the evaluation carried out for the investigated area, five sites were considered as geomorphosites, namely: Sítio Retirinho and the beaches of Ponta Grossa, Redonda / Peroba, Picos / Vila Nova and Requenguela, presenting high scientific and / or aesthetic potential ( > 75% of the valuation). This fact portrays the greatest variety of geomorphological aspects in the site and places that express a relevance in the context of the Earth's history and climate throughout the geological period. The Serra do Mar and Icapuí viewpoints are called geomorphodiversity sites because they have other types of values, with medium or low scientific or aesthetic potential. Therefore, the dissemination of the theme of geomorphodiversity is relevant for geosciences and especially geographic science, highlighting different methods of analysis.Acesso AbertoGeodiversidadeGeomorfodiversidadeGeomorfossítiosGeomorfodiversidade da zona costeira de Icapuí, Ceará: definindo geomorfossítios pelos valores científico e estéticoGeomordofiversity of the coastal zone of Icapuí, Ceará: defining geomorphosities by scientific and aesthetic valuesmasterThesis
