In this sense, the research focuses on the challenges of teaching History associated with a growing neoliberalization of education and society in general. The world of work is detailed and topics such as child labor, work analogous to slavery and workers' rights appear in the research panorama. The Seridó region, as one of the main areas covered by investments by large companies in the textile and ceramic sectors, has many factories. Ceramics and sewing factions are increasingly present on the horizon from the perspective of students in the city of Acari, requiring a process of historical awareness so that these young people do not simply become an alienated working mass, but historical agents capable of reflecting on their condition and intervene in the face of social inequality. To this end, a series of didactic interventions in the classroom is proposed with a view to developing students' criticality around the world of work from the images of three photographers: Lewis Hine, João Roberto Ripper and Bruno Fernandes.
