However, for the production of heavy oils, the mean time between failures of ESP is usually no more than two and a half years. Aiming to reduce the time and costs of workover, the Skid and MoBo (Pumping Module) are great alternatives for this because they are installed outside the producing well, on the seabed, and thus, it is possible to make faster workovers without the need to stop production. The proper sizing of these systems is extremely important to reduce costs, with the equipment working within operational and safety margins. In this work, a model is proposed for the sizing of Electrical Submersible Pump in Skid and MoBo applied in a computational tool. With data from the well, fluid properties, reservoir and operational data, it is possible to design the pump, motor and cable that can be used, taking into account the physical properties of the multiphase flow and empirical correlations.
