An integrative literature review was conducted using the Lilacs, Scielo, PubMed, Science Direct, and Scopus databases. The guiding question was: "What are the effects of postpartum depression on the feeding/nutrition of the newborn, according to the literature?" Initially, 218 articles were identified, of which 12 were selected after applying exclusion criteria. After analysis, three subcategories were identified: interactions and knowledge before childbirth, maternal factors that hinder breastfeeding continuation, and factors that assist the breastfeeding process.
