Motivated by interaction with local residents, it analyzes the threat of forced eviction faced by around 20 families due to a resettlement proposed by the Municipal Executive. These families resisted the proposal, valuing their proximity to the beach, the availability of services, and their sense of belonging. The research questions how the housing policy was implemented without considering democratic urban management. Based on empirical and bibliographical data, the analysis primarily utilizes the concepts of The Right Found on the Street, right to the city and popular education.
