In Brazil and around the world, syphilis continues to be a challenge for professionals health, although its treatment was discovered many years ago. The objective is to identify the level of knowledge of Family Health Strategy professionals in managing the infection. This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study, with a quantitative approach, developed in a municipality in Rio Grande do Norte, from January to February 2024. The study sample was made up of 135 health professionals working in the area. Data were tabulated using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software, a free online version. The result of the research is that of the 135 professionals, the predominance is female (71.9%), age group between 31 and 40 years old (43%), greater professional participation of doctors (20.7%), workload 40h week (93.3%). The research revealed that the majority of professionals have knowledge and management for treating the infection that differs from other studies carried out in Brazil and elsewhere in the world.
